Challenge
In a crowded tech landscape full of jargon and lofty promises, PagerDuty needed a clear, engaging way to communicate its value and leadership in digital operations management. The goal was to create an explainer video that simplified complex ideas while staying true to the brand’s voice and visual identity.

Approach
As creative lead, I partnered with agency Owen Jones to craft a visual and storytelling approach that made the platform’s complexity feel approachable and human. We built an illustration style rooted in the expressiveness of PagerDuty’s brand patterns, using simple geometric shapes that could easily translate into motion. This allowed seamless transitions between abstract and representational imagery while maintaining a cohesive and engaging story.
