The Challenge:
PagerDuty needed a flagship event that could bring customers, partners, and employees together while showcasing the company’s expanding platform and leadership in digital operations. From 2016 to 2019, this meant creating a world-class in-person conference in San Francisco. In 2020, the pandemic required a fast pivot to fully virtual experiences, demanding new approaches to production, engagement, and storytelling.

The Solution:
I led the creative direction and brand experience for PagerDuty Summit from 2016 through 2022, shaping it into the company’s premier customer event. For in-person Summits, I designed and produced the full brand environment — stage design, signage, environmental graphics, and immersive moments that brought the product story to life. For virtual Summits from 2020 to 2022, I directed full-scale broadcast-style productions, collaborating with production partners to deliver high-quality live and on-demand content that engaged a global audience.

The Impact:

  • Built and evolved PagerDuty’s flagship customer conference into a recognized industry event

  • Delivered inspiring in-person experiences for 1,000+ attendees annually in San Francisco

  • Successfully transitioned Summit into a fully virtual experience during the pandemic, reaching a broader global audience
